Anjali is in Pithoragarh, Mousami in Arrakpur and Preethi in Veerapandi . Sasha is coming back after her exciting stay in Udaipur.
Everybody underwent a period of self doubts- can I /can't I phase. The task sometimes looked too complicated - respondents not cooperating, not giving sufficient details, low rapport, climate is too hot to cause heat stroke or too cold to seek tea -
But the team has moved on- We have survived the first week in field, transcripts/village map ( from Anjali) is slowly trickling in - and am happy to see the results. Some interviews are detailed and nuanced and others sketchy . We have learnt how to adapt body language learnings in village settings
All of us witnessed weddings ( temple festivals in case of Theni). It wasinteresting to know weddings took place across India on the same day . Will try to post some pictures
The team is steadily settling in.
